SORROWFUL PRAYER

28 x 36 cm

Framed Graphite & White Charcoal on Paper

Available

I grasp and clutch and writhe. Starved or staved? The pain and I are unaware, yet survive.

Free for a moment it seeps and leaks and trickles from my eyes. Anger or sadness? One knows the other as its disguise.

Inexplicable. Unexplainable. My tongue in a knot. Bitter, the taste of dust, feeling, and hopeless rot.

Hear me. See me. In these places without pried eye or turned ear, it's cold, dark, and sorrowful here.

FOR THE BELOVED

30 x 25 cm

Graphite & White Charcoal on Paper

Available

Beloved, behold these gifts I bring;

gifts of light and love and deeper things.

Bear your children and teach them truth

Granting the same grace I've given to you.

Beloved, behold their cries at night;

nights of terror and evil and deepest fright.

Take their hands and teach them prayer

Promising the promises I've kept with care.

 Oh Beloved of my beloved, behold the lessons of your youth; lessons of light and love and deeper truth

Cherish my teachings and seek my wisdom

Blessing others with the same blessings I've prepared in my kingdom.

CHAYANNE'S WINDOW

32 x 27 cm

Fluorescent lights led the eyes down vast hallways that never seemed familiar. But the ground remained the same; tiles that never changed or ceased to reassure.

Little were the worries that wormed their way in through my iris and hindered those bright lights that left everything so exposed.  The reflection off the tile became far more interesting than I had hoped.

Mostly blurry faces if I dared to look; faded features that I yearned to form. But perhaps these lights and these walls and the tiles that pave the halls are here to rob my memories forevermore.

WHERE FLOWERS BLOOM

27.5 x 21.5 cm
Framed Graphite & White Charcoal on Paper
Available

Light and dust sprinkle the things I loved.

Things that are now without reason or rhyme, perhaps, without purpose in their time.

Yet, the memories flow and form deep within my veins and in my mind; nutrients for the roots to soak up and distractions of a blissful life.

Amongst the porcelain that no longer shines, the mundane, and misused. This is where flowers can be found and sprout and hopefully bloom.
